the hong kong launch of the internationally renowned creative project “play me, i’m yours”! as part of a touring artwork devised by british artist luke jerram, “our hong kong, our talents – play me, i’m yours” was kickstarted with a flashmob in the mong kok pedestrian zone on august 16 and opening event was held at pmq on august 17.

“play me, I’m Yours” toured around the streets of 47 major cities over the past 7 years ever since its establishment in 2008, offering a carefree platform for people to socialize on and connect through the universal language – music! from august until december 2015, the project has brought 16 hong kong themed pianos for the public to enjoy, creating entertainment at many different corners of the city.

showcasing our hong kong and our talents:
hong kong is an international city and a place of accomplished talents and professionals. we therefore marry “play me, i’m yours” with the theme “our hong kong, our talents” as a platform to bridge people from all walks of live. 16 pianos were designed by local artists featuring the many distinctive elements of Hong Kong. famed local artist lam tung pang fuses western aspect of the piano with traditional chinese opera, showcasing Hong Kong’s cosmopolitan characteristics. other designs feature traditional food stalls, street bills, the concrete jungle, and many others each expressing a story of Hong Kong.
